Effective September 2026
Celestine is designed to respect your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have. Please read it carefully.
When you use Celestine, you provide your full name, date of birth, time of birth (optional), and birthplace. This is the core information required to calculate your astrology and numerology profile.
Your birth data is stored in your browser's localStorage. It is not stored on a Celestine server or database. If you clear your browser storage, your data is deleted. No account is required to use Celestine.
To provide chart calculations and AI interpretations, Celestine sends a subset of your birth data to the following third-party providers via secure server-side requests. Your API keys and server configuration are never exposed to your browser.
Your birth date, birth time, latitude, longitude, and timezone are sent to FreeAstroAPI to calculate planetary positions, house cusps, aspects, and related astrological data. FreeAstroAPI processes this data to return deterministic astronomical results.
Structured chart data (planetary positions, numerology numbers, transit aspects) is sent to Google Gemini to generate textual interpretations. This data does not include personally identifying information beyond what is derived from the astronomical calculation results. Please review Google's privacy policy for information on how Gemini processes API requests.
Your Sun sign (a zodiac sign name, not your name or birth date) is sent to API Ninjas to retrieve a daily horoscope. This is the minimum information required for this feature.
When you search for your birthplace, your search query is sent to a geocoding service to retrieve geographic coordinates and timezone information. This query may include a city or place name.
Like most web services, our hosting provider (Vercel) may automatically collect server logs, which may include your IP address, browser type, and the pages you access. This information is used only for security and operational purposes and is not linked to your birth data or personal profile.
Celestine stores the following data in your browser's local storage:
You can clear all of this data by clearing your browser's local storage at any time.
Celestine is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided birth data through the service, please contact us.
Because we do not store your data on servers, there is no server-side retention to manage. Your data persists in your browser's local storage until you choose to clear it.
Because your data is stored locally in your browser, you retain full control over it. You can delete your data at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site. If you have questions about data processed by our third-party providers, please refer to their respective privacy policies.
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how your data is handled, please contact us through the information provided on our website.
